We have only had this coffee maker for a couple of weeks, but it has been performing perfectly. We have also used the hot water maker for use for making a single cup of tea. There is only one slight design improvement we think would make the maker even better: you have to pour the water into the container on the back of the filter housing. If any water spills into the filter with ground coffee, the grounds get wet or else the water spills onto the heating platform in the base if there is no filter in place. Not a big deal though.Love the coffee maker. every thing works great , love the hot water despencer . The only minor problem is that when you pour the coffee , it drips from under the plastic pour top bottom edge. of the coffee pot. A minor inconvenience . Some people reported a taste problem with the coffee and the hot water despencer . We have absolutely no problems with any taste issues. We only use distilled water for all our drinking needs. So if you have a problem with taste issues it's probably your water and not the coffee maker. Love all the controls and displays . Good product except for the drips when you pour coffee. I would recommend this coffee maker to any and all !It isn't the fastest coffee maker in the world since it makes a pot in average time but I just love the option for hot water so I can have a cup of tea or hot chocolate when the grandchildren are here without putting the stove burner on and worrying about something thrown/hitting the pot and causing it to fall off the stove splashing someone or little hands finding the way to the burner. (Yes, we do watch the children but these things happen in a blink of an eye). It is one of my fears and with this coffee maker I can enjoy what I (or someone else) wants without the fear. I also love the locking lever, great safety device to prevent those accidental presses of the lever.bought this as a gift, the coffee makers we have had in the past where cheap and nasty, This unit is far from nasty, makes a great cup of, well, anything,, love the option to make a cup of tea or coca on the side, easy to fill, easy to clean and looks good in the kitchen, love the features, the lock is a great idea and gives us peace of mind when the little ones are over for the day.Everything arrived fast and in excellent condition.Coffee mix is not staying in the filter and will be on the bottom of the coffee machine once the coffee has been brown. Also, the water is leaking of the filter before you even start the cycle.Pros: The coffee is definitely hot and it stays really hot with the proper setting. To be honest I’m real happy I got this coffee maker that’s the bottom line I haven’t had a better one I’m being straight to the point short and to the point short and sweet you just try it with Starbucks coffee with Krupp’s whole bean it’s just out of this world and waking up in heaven...Had one for our home wore it out. Bought this for our RV for the hot water feature don't have to use a tea pot for hot water saves on propane. This is actually my second time buying this coffeemaker — but I should add the first time was about 10 years ago! It finally gave up the ghost after daily use for all that time (actually it was still brewing, it was that there was a small crack that leaked, likely from the machine being moved around).Anyway, while the new model has nicer LED buttons and a slightly sleeker look, it has all the features that I liked in the earlier model:1. Brews great coffee with various modes depending how much you're making2. Adjustable hotplate, I keep it on low so it doesn't burn the coffee if it sits for a bit3. The tea maker! I'm the only tea drinker so I make a mug at a time and it heats up faster and more efficiently than doing a whole pot4. Easy to operate, even setting it to autobrew in the morning5. At least for the first one, and this one after a few months, very durableI can't think of many things I've bought twice in my life, but this is one. Recommended.Great product and we haven’t had any issues. However, I will say that if you are a tea drinker, the water will have a slight taste of coffee if you allow the water to sit in the reservoir and have a pot of coffee made. My hubby drinks coffee and will make a pot first thing in the morning and I like my tea midmorning, but if the water to heat my tea is sitting in the reservoir to be heated or reheated, my tea water tastes a bit like coffee. There’s no issue if I pour water in to heat after the coffee is brewed but it kinda defeats the purpose of having water at the ready for tea. If you don’t mind adding water for tea after coffee is brewed, it’s a wonderful machine!I really like this coffee maker. It's super easy to set up. The carafe is super easy to poor, no drips. The coffee maker itself is easy to fill. My husband likes the fact that you can adjust the temperature. I love the hot water on demand feature. I've now eliminated having a kettle on my counter, freeing up an outlet. For having a coffee maker/hot water dispenser all-in-one, it doesn't take up very much space on the counter. In fact, I think that it is actually smaller than my old coffee maker. I would most definitely recommend this coffee maker. We had a regular/inexpensive Cuisinart coffee maker at one time, which we quite liked, but we wore off part of the hot plate (our fault for not cleaning it right). I've been happy with other Cuisinart products we've owned, so we decided to give it another try.I really like the hot water on demand for teas and hot chocolate etc. I drink coffee everyday, and my spouse drinks tea. So it's a perfect marriage with this machine! Compared to the last coffee maker we had, this makes such a great cup of coffee! Very smooth tasting, which I think the cone filter helps with. And I love that you can adjust the hot plate from low, medium or high! The other features are great, which I quite liked on our other Cuisinart coffee maker. The Clean button, the brewing of 1-4 cups button and of course the timer. This machine does beep five times when brewing is done, and beeps again when the machine turns off. I quite like that, and compared to our other Cuisinart coffee maker --the beeps are much quieter on this machine!I thought the coffee side of the machine would be difficult to fill with water, but I've never spilled any, thanks to the great carafe. I've had many carafes that leak coffee out the sides, but this one is easy to control! Some people might not like that you have to remove the lid to fill with water, but I like that instead of a leaky swing top lid.It looks very attractive on my counter, next to our Cuisinart Burr grinder!I highly recommend this product and I hope Cuisinart continues to make this great Coffeemaker and Hot Water system!hot water reservoir stopped heating up within 4 months of purchasenow the coffee maker keeps turning off on its own - sometimes half way through brewingNever buying Cuisinart again - very disappointed in the qualitytoo bad because almost everything I have in my kitchen is Cuisinart - not any more
