The ONLY THING I might find that would improve this would be I'd prefer it to have that candy apple red glow. This is the right color red and I knew it was the plain red color when I bought it...but the price was SO GOOD FOR THE QUALITY, I chose this one ON PURPOSE!! I am AMAZED by this icemaker!! It can make several days worth of ice for me and my husband within an hour! The first cubes MAY take a bit longer than 6 minutes to turn out...but I'm sure it has to cool first...however after those first cubes are tossed into the basket...you can count on it putting out 9 cubes of ice EVERY 6 MINUTES until the water is used up or you need to empty the basket!! The icemaker on our Kenmore Refrigerator went out after being completely replaced only 6 months earlier. Having it replaced AGAIN WOULD HAVE COST US ALMOST HALF the cost of a NEW Refrigerator! Since Kenmore has it wired so that you cannot remove the non working icemaker without causing the refrigerator to stop running altogether...we really couldn't use good Ole fashioned ice trays, because there was little room for them. We had been without ice for 2 years before I heard that there was such a thing as a countertop icemaker. I am able to put the ice from this icemaker into my freezer ice compartment and they come out the door wonderfully sweet!! I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!I have been with this ice machine for a couple of months now and although the reviews were correct in that they make noise when the ice is being made I don’t think that you can avoid something like that I recommend not putting tapwater into these kind of machines only because the impurities of that tapwater will clog up your machine and make it not work as good I’m enjoying the icemaker I’ve had no issues with it so far if I do I will change the review on this but if you can handle a little bit of noise and your ice dropping every now and again I say purchase it it’s a it’s a great little machine for those of you who don’t like the noise you can have it make the ice and you can take it out of the actual ice machine put it in your freezer turn the machine off and only turn it on when you need itI don't like the flavor of my well water, so I've been buying ice by the bag for drinks. Bad hands mean I can't easily use any of the variety of ice cube makers I've tried. Inflation and shrinkflation sent me searching for an alternative to spending $7-$10 weekly on ice.Enter the Euhomy countertop ice maker. I run it for a few hours one morning each week. One gallon of distilled water gives me enough ice for a week. I can make large and small cubes, which is useful, and you can tell the difference in sizes. It's not terribly loud, and takes up about the same amount of counter space as a coffee maker. The included scoop is OK, but I find it easier to dump the basket of finished cubes into a bowl, freeze it for a few minutes, then bang it on the counter to loosen them before dumping them in the ice bin. When RVing, one of the things we use a LOT is ice. Some RV campgrounds sell ice, and some sell it for reasonable prices. Some, who are far away from other vendors, charge a premium. This ice maker starts pumping out ice within 15 minutes. We usually dump it quickly into an ice bucket in the freezer, and we can fill it up pretty quickly. We run it for an hour or two and have enough ice for the day. It is a bit noisy, and the fan blows hot air, not good when it is over 90 degrees, and the RV air conditioner is struggling to cool it down, but this is acceptable to get ice for my ice water and iced tea.Its makes ic consistently... But its definitely noisy. The first couple batches didnt taste the best but it got better over time. Not sure if my taste buds got used to it or what... But it works... I'll update whenever it quits working.Update 10/14/22. Ice doesnt last long, it melts really quickly so its constantly running... Its now was making a clicking noise before it stopped making ice at all. My spouse tossed it not realizing it was still within the return window even though we didn't have the box anymore. Dont waste your money... Keep looking for a better unit.Update 10/18/22. The company reached out to me to make it right. They offered to replace my unit or give a full refund. I am updating my review for the service. If you're willing ro work with them, they'll make it worth it.We spend every week Thursday through Sunday at our camper so this is the perfect way to have ice ready for the cooler or drinks. The flavor is fantastic the noise level is a little louder than I would like but if you’re fine with white noise it’s great. There are occasions where it feels like it’s not producing ice cubes. And sometimes it changes from large cubes to small cubes. Despite those things very happy with the icemaker! I’ve suggested to a few friends that they get it for their campersI like my adult beverages over ice. The ice maker in my fridge gave out years ago. Stopped using ice cube trays years ago.I was looking for an ice machine that could keep up with my drinking (I drink a LOT, lol).Had a few on my wish list but bought this one as a prime day deal. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.Others have said it is loud. When I first plugged it in and turned it on, I thought I had a defective unit as it was that quiet. It not only keeps up with my adult beverage consumption, it surpasses it. In the course of a few hours and a refill or two, I end up with a one gallon bag of ice.I do transfer the basket, when full, into a bag and put it in the freezer. It does stick together but, like buying a bag of ice at the store, slam the bag down a couple times and it breaks right up. The gallon bag lasts a few days before having to make more. I live alone, if you have more people in your household, you mileage will vary. All in all, I think this is a great purchase, couldn't be happier with it.Update: it still makes ice, I've used it 3 times a week for two months. The green light indicator for large icecubes quit working. As long as the other two indicator lights for "small" and "clean" keep working, I can still use it. If the other two lights go out, it'll be problematic to know what setting you're on.
