Since I received my black kettle couple weeks ago, I use it everyday!I use it to make my oolong tea and brew coffee with it.These are the reasons why I love it:1. Quick Boiling Mode: I like the quick boiling mode cuz I can just press the button and leave it there. The water will be ready within 10 minutes (mostly around 6), which makes it easier for me to make my morning tea. (You will get a beep when it boils.)2. To-the-degree Design: My dad also loves it cuz it heats the water to the exact temperature he wants. It usually reaches the degrees within 5 minutes? He used to put a thermometer in our old stovetop kettle and stare at it for like 10 minutes? Now he can do the dishes while the kettle is heating :)3. Energy Saving: We both think its “standby mode” is just right. We’ve tested and it can hold the temperature up to 10 minutes. It’s not holding too long to waste the energy.4. Pouring Performance: I think the handle is easy to grip with my fingers and the overall body design does balance the kettle pretty well so I can maintain a steady pour.5. Heating Sound: This is also commended by my uncle. He is a coffee geek LOL so he cares about every detail while making coffee. He loves the sound the kettle makes as it heats up, which is not noisy but is enough to be the morning background “music”.6. Excess Cord Storage: There’s a cord wrap below the base! It’s easy to store the extra cord so that it can perfectly fit the corner of the kitchen.7. Stylish Look: As for its design, I think it’s a nice cross between classic and modern. It’s not as fancy as Fellow’s, but it does fit our kitchen with the rest of the coffee/tea collections. Still, I’m looking forward to the day when the brand will offer different colors as more of an option. A matte white, grey or walnut handle would look nice too. (Personally not a big fan of stainless steel)There’s only a few issue and a little suggestions about this kettle:1. Tight Lid: I think the lid is too tight to remove smoothly, yet my brother thinks it’s ok cuz it prevents leaking problems.2. Size (0.8L): Since our family use it more than twice everyday (and we definitely need more water when we have guests), refilling it was a bit of a hassle. Will get a bigger kettle next time, but still, this doesn’t make us love it any less. Ovalware can think about making a bigger one.Overall, it’s a really nice kettle.
